A Charlie Brown Christmas

This Christmas season the husband is Afghanistan (I must sound like a broken record already). I sent him a box with a mini tree and Star Wars ornaments so he would have a touch of home. This is the photo of what they (him and his new Army buddies) did to the wonderful (although little) tree.

Silly me had this vision of the tree getting put up in his bee hut (the place he sleeps) next to his bedside and the lights would be soft and give him something pretty to look at.

If only I could show up and make that little tree into a brilliant Christmas display.

You know what, though? I bet he appreciates it all the same 🙂
