IA Training – NARMY

Tonight I watched Pres. Clinton on Larry King Live talk about the Navy supplementing Army troops because we are “overstretched” . He also talked about Afghanistan and how our presence should be stronger there.

I’m wondering if I’ll become a news junkie now that this GWOT has hit home for me. CaliValleyGirl talked about this in her blog and that now that her sweetheart is home she doesn’t much follow the fight. I suppose it’s only natural. I wonder if I’ll be like Butterfly Wife who posts all kinds of great articles….

I am already a bit of a news junkie and ever since the GWOT showed up at my front door, I’m definitely still tuned in. I kind of sensor some of my reading b/c there’s so much about all of the violence in Iraq and I can only take hearing so much at a given time.

Wendy, Slightly Salty – You both got me thinking. Thanks. I don’t think I would call myself a news junkie, but I do try to follow things beyond mainstream media.

I started writing a long comment, but I hate leaving long comments. I’ll just expand at my place tomorrow.

Best wishes to you Wendy, and your family. I think you and Slightly Salty are in the same IA boat ship MRAP? Welcome to the Army. 😀 Here’s a hug.

with my husband working up to head to Iraq I feel a need to start following the news a little more closely. And buy a map. I love butterfly’s good news.
