In Our Prayers

In our thoughts and prayers today are families of the VT tragedy.  Please say a prayer for these families.

Update: 4/17/07

On my blogsphere surfing today I found this post over at Most Certainly Not – a writer over at SpouseBUZZ.  I was away from the TV today, so haven’t seen all the news reports.  She writes about a Professor who was killed in the shootings.

Professor Librescu positioned himself in the doorway of his classroom holding the door closed.  He instructed his petrified students to open the windows and jump to the bushes lining the ground below their second floor classroom.  Frustrated that his entry was blocked, the perpetrator shot through the door.  Professor Librescu blocked those shots with his body and saved his students in the process.

She writes a great piece about her thoughts on this hero who survived the Holocaust, and gave his life for his students.

Read the entire piece here.

…and I also say “Thank You, Professor”.

Update 2
Over at Blackfive, they are also covering the story of Professor Librescu with lots of comments – read here
