My reason for driving to San Diego was to attend a Military Spouse Convention hosted by SpouseBuzz through Military.com, which I had only learned about the day before its commencement. I had been so eager to meet other military spouses, that this was literally a dream come true. Rain or shine, I was going to get there regardless of the fact that I had to wake up at 6am to drive!
